Life is like a treasure hunt. The treasure is intrinsic, not extrinsic. That means it’s within us already. But it usually takes a map and a mentor to find it. There are many maps and mentors but the media has made them out to be old-school in order to sell us gimmicks.
Corporations make up their own treasures to keep us distracted like a baby with a pacifier and consider our money to be their own “treasure”. They are no happier than us because the pursuit of material happiness is the best guarantee against it!
Things money can buy are usually gimmicks except for wholesome food and things necessary for executing the mission of life - to discover our intrinsic nature and help others do the same.gimmick/ˈɡɪmɪk/nouna trick or device intended to attract attention, publicity, or trade.All the gimmicks we buy end up in “landfill”. We are what has value. Not our temporary possessions.
