Description

Dear beloved,

This letter is for the one who loves God,but keeps losing sight of Him.

You start your mornings with good intentions. You say “Jesus first,”but by noon, your heart is pulled in twelve directions.

You’ve confused busyness with fruitfulness. You’ve mistaken motion for mission. You’re exhausted, distracted, and calling it “purpose.”

But distraction is the enemy’s quietest form of destruction.

The Drift of the Divided

“Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” — Hebrews 12:1–2

You can’t run forward while staring sideways.Every comparison drains clarity.Every compromise blurs focus.

You’re not stuck, you’re scattered. And the enemy doesn’t need to make you sin,if he can keep you distracted.

He’ll fill your schedule so you never sit still. He’ll flood your feed so you never hear the Father. He’ll make you productive, but not effective.

You’ve been glancing at God and gazing at everything else. And heaven is calling you to reverse it.

The Eyes That Guide You

You can’t fight what you won’t face. And you can’t follow who you don’t focus on.

The longer your attention is divided, the weaker your devotion becomes.

Before Jesus’ words to Martha, Scripture shows two sisters making two choices—Martha busy for Jesus, Mary sitting with Jesus. Then He says:

Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one.” -Luke 10:41–42

Beloved, that one thing is Jesus.

Not the ministry. Not the metrics. Not the next thing you need to prove.

He’s not asking for your perfection, He’s asking for your attention. You can’t see where He’s leading if your gaze keeps drifting back to what He already told you to leave behind.

🔔 YOUR WAKE-UP CALL TODAY

Pray this aloud:

“Lord, forgive me for giving my attention to lesser things.I repent for letting distraction dull my devotion.Fix my eyes on You again.Narrow my focus to Your voice.Let the noise fade until all that’s left is Your Word and Your will.I choose today to stop glancing at You and start gazing on You.In Jesus’ name, amen.”

Then write this declaration:

“My focus is my faith. I will not be led by noise—I will be led by His name.”

Today, turn off one distraction that’s been stealing your gaze.Replace it with worship. You’ll be amazed how quickly peace returns when your eyes do.

The world trains you to multitask.Jesus trains you to magnify.Whatever you magnify, multiplies,so magnify the right thing.

Before you go

Silence one distraction for 24 hours and replace it with 10 minutes in worship or the Word. Then tell us in the comments what you turned off so we can pray with you—and share this letter with one friend who needs her gaze reset today.

With love in Christ,Camille & Shawna
