Dear beloved,
This letter is for the one who prays, “Lord, make me more like You,”but runs from the very fire that makes her glow.
You keep asking God to grow you,but He can’t grow what you won’t let Him prune.
You want the anointing—but not the refining.
The power—but not the process.
You love the idea of transformation,until it starts costing your comfort.
The Fire That Forms You
“Every branch that does bear fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” —John 15:2
Refining is not rejection.Pruning is not punishment.It’s proof that you belong.
When God begins cutting, it’s not because you’re barren.It’s because you’re bearing fruit—and He intends for you to bear more.
In Malachi 3:3, we’re told ““He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.”
The fire doesn’t destroy gold; it distinguishes it.And the flame doesn’t touch you without His permission or His purpose.
He’s not pacing while you suffer—He’s seated.
Watching, measuring, ensuring that what’s burned away is only what you never needed. This is where He will bring beauty from the ashes.
When You Resist the Flame
You’ve asked for His will but complained about His way.You’ve prayed for purity but fought the process.You’ve cried out for closeness but clung to control.
But God’s love won’t let you stay dull.He’s removing everything that keeps you from reflecting His image.
That’s what the Refiner’s fire does—it consumes impurities until His reflection appears in you.
Stop calling the pruning unfair.Stop calling the fire failure.It’s favor.
“He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” — ob 23:10
🔔 YOUR WAKE-UP CALL TODAY
Pray this with trembling faith:
“Lord, forgive me for resisting Your refining.Burn away what keeps me bound.Cut back what keeps me crowded.I trust the hands that hold the shears.I trust the fire that purifies.Let me come out of this trial looking more like You.In Jesus’ name, amen.”
Then ask yourself:
“What has God been cutting back that I keep trying to regrow?”
Let Him finish the work.
Don’t run from the very process that proves His love.
He’s not trying to hurt you—He’s preparing to use you.
And when you come out of this season, you won’t smell like smoke.You’ll shine like gold.
