The Screening process for electoral candidate for the 2019 General Election has successful produced elected candidates and rejected candidates as delegates across various political parties in Nigeria cued up having been convinced by speeches, money and ethno affiliations. Most prominent among the primaries are the two leading parties of the country, the All Progressive Congress (APC) the ruling party; and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) both attempting to a show transparent process of electioneering with poor visibility of the politics.
Having been become the choice candidate for APC, President Buhari advised losers to " President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday appealed to all aspirants who lost during the recent primaries of the All Progressives Congress across the country not to abandon the party." Meanwhile, the PDP candidate for Vice President Atiku Abubakar seemed to be confidence and endorsement of no visible enemy after the elections in the party.
The big points from the Political Primaries
- Who paid $9000 to delegates to be voted?
- Why is wife of President criticising the homemade party of the President on twitter
- Is there a triple match loading from a third candidate such as Ezekwesili, Fela Durotoye, Omoyele Sowore, Kingsley Moghalu or Donald Duke?
For the candidates, Screened Out, its expected they will lobby for lesser electoral positions in the country such as the Senate and House of Representatives while convincing candidates who may have bought forms for such positions to withdraw within 45 days in exchange for good cash or reward. As the electoral laws makes provision for withdrawer or death conditions from political parties in Section 33, 35 in the Electoral Act.
