This week on Solitary, Poor, Nasty, Brutish, and Short, Scott interviews Dr. Harold Carter, a historian at Oxford University specializing in economic and social history, as well as a farmer and community philanthropy leader. He previously worked as a strategy consultant, banker, and think tank director before moving into academia and public service. In addition to his academic work, he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Commerce.
