The Cincinnati Reds entered the offseason with one obvious need: power.

After making the postseason behind a dominant starting rotation, the expectation was that the front office would finally add an impact bat. Instead, Reds President of Baseball Operations Nick Krall went on MLB Network Radio and claimed that hitting 25 home runs at Great American Ball Park should be easy for the right type of hitter.

The problem? The numbers don’t support it.

Since 2022, the Reds have had just ONE player hit 25 home runs in a season. In this video, we break down Krall’s full quote, examine the Reds’ actual home run production over the past several seasons, and explain why fans aren’t buying the message anymore.

If the Reds truly believe power is easy to find internally, the results say otherwise.
