Advent is a choice.
A choice to step toward the mountain of the Lord instead of the fortress of fear.
To unclench the fists we have grown used to.
To trust God’s future is not domination but reconciliation.
And Isaiah gives the invitation plainly. “Come, let us walk in the light of the Lord.”
To walk in a world where swords are melted, where peace is possible. Walk in a world where Jesus disarms before he restores. A world where the Prince of Peace will be born not in a palace but in vulnerability—in a manger.
