It dawned on me today that some of you have no idea who I am or the purpose of Living a Resurrected Life. You might not even know that the Morning Cup of Tea is part of something called Living a Resurrected Life. Now, some of you listening know me in real life (Hey, Y’all!👋🏽). You’ve been there for part of my journey; maybe you’ve walked alongside me through the good, the bad, and the messy middle. For others, this might be your first time meeting me, so I figured I should probably introduce myself. But before I do that, I want to explain why you’re about to hear the story I'm about to tell. I’m sharing my story because I believe there’s power in being authentic—in showing the parts of ourselves that aren’t picture-perfect and inviting others into the journey of healing. My hope is that through my story, you’ll find a piece of your own reflected back—maybe even a piece you thought was lost.
The truth is, I never wanted to share any of this. I never wanted to be the person who had a story of triumph over adversity because that meant I had to go through the adversity first. But here I am. And maybe, just maybe, this story is for you—to let you know that even when it feels like life has completely fallen apart, there’s still something left worth fighting for.
