Today, we are starting a new series that is slightly personal but also, I suspect, relevant to some of you. Maybe not now, but at some point in the past and perhaps in the future. So, in honor of February being the month dedicated to showing love, for the next week, we will be talking about self-love because many times, we show love to everyone else except ourselves.
But let’s be real—self-love is hard sometimes. We live in a world that constantly tells us who we should be, what we should look like, and how we should measure up. And if we don’t fit into those little boxes, we start questioning our worth. But let me remind you of something—God doesn’t make mistakes.
Psalm 139:14 says I praise you because I am fearfully and marvelously made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Think about that for a second. Marvelous. That’s what God says about you. Not just good, not just acceptable—marvelous. When was the last time you looked in the mirror and said, “Wow, God, you really did something special with me”?
