Description

Episode Summary:

• A chaotic, ADHD‑powered deep dive into millennial womanhood, featuring Valentine’s Day hot takes, Kenobi’s “puppy ADHD,” and the debut of the now‑iconic Turkey Vase Topic Draw, the podcast’s official chaos generator.

• Amber and Casie share eerily similar ADHD origin stories, unpacking medication moments, viral ADHD content, and the relatable realities of living with neurodivergent brains while juggling life, work, kids, and pets.

• The Procrastination Olympics takes center stage, breaking down why “I’ll do it later” hits different for ADHD’ers, why “just start” is terrible advice, and how avoidance magically transforms into reorganizing your entire pantry.

Welcome to episode 2 — we did it! So consistent. Look at us go.

So, what do we have planned for this week? How about’ a Turkey Vase Topic Draw (working title), two ADHD origin stories, and absolutely zero chill?! You can only get that here, ladies and gentlemen…especially the TVTD.

If you survived our Galentine’s Day kickoff episode — congratulations, and welcome back. New here? Pull up a chair, grab a snack you forgot you opened, and settle in. You’re one of us now. (Also, where were you last week?)

This week, we bring you: The Procrastination Olympics. But before we get there (because of course we don’t get there right away), we take a scenic detour through Valentine’s Day, ADHD beginnings, and Kenobi makes her first appearance!

Get your quick Valentine’s Day recap — and by “recap,” we mean a gentle roast of the holiday itself. Amber by way of delicious foods, and Casie by way of calling out Valentine’s Day for NOT being Halloween. Which will surprise absolutely no one.

Then it’s time for….The Turkey Vase Topic Draw.

Yes, it’s a turkey.

Yes, it’s a vase.

For new listeners, the Turkey Vase is exactly what it sounds like — a ceramic turkey that also happens to be a vase, and now also happens to be the official chaos generator of the podcast. (Listen, we’re not just gonna let AI generate EVERYTHING. Not on our watch!) Each week, Amber will draw a random topic from the vase, and whatever comes out is what we will talk about.

This week’s topic?

ADHD.

Could we have planned this any better? Absolutely not.

Casie had just finished telling a story about Kenobi’s “puppy ADHD” and how she was actively waiting on a prescription refill for Kenobi’s medication as skipping that morning’s dose had left them all “having a day” in Orlando.

Then the universe said, “You know what? Let’s lean in.”

Get ready for our ADHD origin stories — which, in true cross‑country‑BFF fashion, are eerily similar. Same brain, different time zones. We’re not experts, but we’re livin’ with it and learning through it, together.

Casie and Amber also share a recent viral video of a mom off her ADHD meds and on her ADHD meds and the wild differences one tiny medication can make to improving EVERYONE’s lives, not just your own.

Then, Amber jumps in with a 💥super specific time warning💥 — “We have four minutes and fifty seconds left!”

Cue Casie: “Oh no! We still have to get to the Procrastination Olympics!”

So, we’re off and running like Nazgûl at the Olympics, to the Procrastination Olympics we go!

• The differences between “I’ll do it later.” vs. “I’m thinking about doing it later.”

• “I’ve been avoiding this task for 12 business days but suddenly reorganizing my entire pantry feels urgent.”

• Why “just start” is one of the worst pieces of advice for an ADHD’er.

We could’ve easily talked about this topic ALL.DAY.LONG. But, alas. We had to wrap it up and close this week out. We can’t wait to see y’all next week — topic TBD by the Turkey Vase Topic Draw (working title).

If you have stories, questions, tangents you’d love to hear about, OR names for the Turkey Vase Topic Draw — we’d love to hear from you.
