This is not the episode I planned. It's the one that wanted to be said.
This weekend I sat with a feeling I know well. Even when my clients are thriving and my life is good, I can finish a training and walk away feeling like an imposter, because the things I teach are the things I'm still living. And every time that feeling hits, I do the same thing. I go find another course, another certification, more proof. It never leaves.
Then I came across a phrase Peter Crone uses, built on a double negative. Not not. Instead of writing a new story over the old one, you take the story you already believe and ask two questions. Is this true, and what meaning am I giving it? When I did that, the imposter wasn't the real thing at all. Underneath it was something much older, and much quieter.
In this episode I walk through what I found, why "I am loved" never quite settled for me but "I'm not not loved" did, and how those same old words don't just live in the mind, they live in the body too. If you have ever kept proving yourself on a loop that never seems to end, this one is for you.
Let it settle. Then over the next few days, notice the statements you might be assigning a meaning to that no longer serve you.
