Why did these particular laws need to be given at Sinai? I mean, we're talking about basic civil laws here. Every ancient civilization had their legal codes. The Babylonians had Hammurabi's Code. The Romans had their famous legal system. So what makes these Torah laws so special that they need to be given alongside the Ten Commandments?
