I first heard about Lucy a little while back when I watched a short documentary about her and Wombat’s adventures as part of the Gutsy Girls Film Tour, so on a personal note, it’s pretty surreal to have had the opportunity to chat with Lucy.
But meeting Lucy, I came to realise that what I considered to be an almighty privilege was something that she was all too happy to do.
Through a life in which Lucy has come to appreciate the power of inclusion and generosity by being on the giving and receiving end of both, it seems fitting that this journey of epic proportions has become one stitched together by countless beautiful micro interactions and the help and generosity of friends and strangers alike.
With that, Lucy’s passion for celebrating the wonderful people and indigenous cultures of South America and their different ways of living has become as vital a part of her motivations as the trek itself.
Join Lucy (Wombat) and I as she brings us up to speed on the journey thus far from the end of the earth in Argentina to Panama City where she was at the time of recording.
And as always we truly hope you enjoy this episode and please leave us your thoughts in the comments!
