Description

Meet Edd Moore, the eco coordinator and Level 3 teacher at Damers First School in Poundbury, England. As you'll learn in the podcast, Damers is one of the greenest schools on the planet, having won many awards, including Eco Schools Green Flag (since 2016), Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots Most Outstanding Group, U.K. and Surfers Against Sewage Plastic Free Champion. Edd himself was selected as one of just 500 Coronation Champions by H.M. King Charles III.

As you can learn in the blog that Edd and I wrote, kids love eating the fruit and vegetables that they grow. They are inspired and effective when they point their STEM learning toward getting rid of plastic in their school and community. They love reading books in their outdoor reading circle, gardening and studying science in their own nature area. All of this was championed by Edd and the Head Teacher of his school, Catherine Smith (who is now with The Harmony Project, U.K.).

If you are interested in healthy food and a fun learning environment for your kids and in the local school, watch this interview for Edd's best tips and resources.
