Äntligen tillbaka! Clare Daly står väldigt nära Dissidentklubben sedan hon gästade oss i oktober 2023. I detta högintressanta samtal med Mertz Laakso talar hon om valet av Irlands president, Catherine Connolly, och vilka positiva effekter hon tror det kommer få för fredsarbetet och Irlands fortsatta kamp för neutralitet och självständighet.
Hon berättar hur media och etablissemanget är skakade över hennes stora vinst med 66 % av rösterna och den väldiga smutskastningskampanj som riktades mot Connolly, mestadels kommen från Clare Daly’s och Mick Wallace’s nära samarbete med henne. Sedan deras år i Europaparlamentet har de utmålats som “putinister”.

Det är mycket positivt det som sker på Irland men mycket återstår fortfarande att göra, säger Daly, som efter att ha åkt ur Europaparlamentet nu åker runt i världen tillsammans med Mick Wallace för att föra fram dissidenta uppmaningar till fred och diplomati och stävja krigshetsen.

Finally back! Clare Daly has been very close to the Dissident Club since she visited us in October 2023. In this highly interesting conversation with Mertz Laakso, she talks about the election of Ireland’s president, Catherine Connolly, and what positive effects she believes it will have for peace work and Ireland’s continued struggle for neutrality and independence.
She tells how the media and the establishment are shaken by her big win with 66% of the vote and the huge smear campaign directed at Connolly, mostly coming from Clare Daly’s and Mick Wallace’s close collaboration with her. Since their years in the European Parliament, they have been portrayed as “Putinists”.
It is very positive what is happening in Ireland, but there is still a lot to be done,” says Daly, who after leaving the European Parliament is now travelling around the world with Mick Wallace to bring forward dissident calls for peace and diplomacy and curb warmongering.
