“You say, true intimacy is the expression of oneness, of being. It seems like, as you wrote, you say that basically the experience of being is an experience of intimacy, true intimacy, and that probably, then, is reflected on everything you do with other people or other things. The intimacy just carries through to it.”
Dr Louis Koster:
“Yes, absolutely.”
John Kremer:
“Yet, there is that other side of it, which you say, where it helps to have somebody else, a partner, to experience the full intimacy, certainly in a relationship.”
Dr Louis Koster:
“Well, absolutely. Yeah. Now, whether that is a condition to experience love and intimacy at that level, I don't think that is so, since ultimately I'm responsible for my experience of life.”
John Kremer:
“You said it in your diary, you said that beyond the duality of thinking, is being, which is in relationships, expresses itself as intimacy. To me, that seems like you're saying that it really doesn't matter what the other person necessarily brings to the relationship. In your own, you're already experiencing that intimacy.”
Dr Louis Koster:
“Exactly. Since intimacy at that level, so to speak, the level of being, is not a personal experience. That is the hallmark of being, is that there's the absence of the personal. There is a reality to being that is undeniable, and that is beyond the self, the personal self.”
