You asked yourself a nice question right after that. You said, "When did I wake up to “I”? Asking myself this question, I feel like I'm waking up from an dream." Because once you no longer identify with the “I” of the duality of experience, then that “I” disappears.
Louis Koster:
Yes. This knowing or this awareness of being of my true self kept me or gave me the question then, "What is this “I” in the thinking and brought about in conversation, in interaction with other people? What is that?" Or, "How did that come about?" Once you start moving away from that that's who you are, it has got more the nature of an appearance.
It is an “I” that is appearing in consciousness, in my consciousness. So if it is an appearance in my consciousness, that gave me the question, "When was it actually that I woke up to this “I,” my true self, my being that's probably permanent? When did that wake up to this illusionary “I”? Then therefore, if it is an appearance in consciousness, then my true self was never born and will never die.”
