The book of Joshua finishes with a challenge to the Israelites to choose whom they will serve. It’s easy being a practical atheist, where we claim to be a Christian, but live as though God didn’t exist. This passage calls us to choose where we stand, whether we really want to follow Jesus, and if so, to choose wholehearted commitment to him.
