Description

#16 Geoff Kershner is my guest today and yet another visionary. As the Executive Director of Lynchburg's Academy Center of the Arts and host of the Small Town Big Arts podcast, Geoff sees the power of the arts as a way to connect and strengthen the community. The key is to create an inclusive and diverse space for everyone, including those who are marginalized. With this intention, the arts can be a vehicle for expanding the collective conversation by exposing the community to uniquely authentic, creative expressions of humanity. As someone who believes it's going to take all of us to rise above this polarized moment in history, I got so much out of my conversation with Geoff. And I am so excited for the programs he and his amazing team are bringing to Lynchburg.Enjoy the show!Academy Center of the Arts WebsiteAcademy Center of the Arts on InstagramAcademy Center of the Arts on FacebookSmall Town Big Arts PodcastIf you believe that inspiring stories like this can empower others to create meaningful lives and impact the world, join the Small Town Secret Sauce community and become an ambassador for possibility.Additional links can be found in the Show Notes for this episode. Thanks for listening!
