Tonight’s show is special in many ways. How often do you get to talk to a member of a multi-million dollar club, that is completely open, humble, and ready to extend a helping hand to anybody? Who lives his purpose, building the legacy and impact most of us would only dream of? Ed Wiens built a global business (likely a few times), lost it all, and built again.
I had the privilege to meet Ed Wiens a few times in person, and every time he spoke from the stage, he captivated the room.
He masters the art of influencing people with stories and good reframing. He knows it stays with the audience much better than dry facts and figures. It sure does. Every story he ever told, stuck with me. And since he’s a son of missionary parents, and he followed in their footsteps, it offers some explanation about his character and honor.
Before we started recording, I asked if there was anything off-limits – and he assured me that he was an open book. I truly appreciate it because every time I’m around him, I know I’m going to learn something valuable. I hope you will feel the same way after listening to our conversation.
We spoke about:
You see the glory, but you don’t know the story
When you go through hell, don’t stop!
There is no comeback without a setback
Never doubt your beliefs, and never believe your doubts
The book Mr. Wiens recommended that influenced his life is now out of print but possibly you can get it on Amazon – The Ten Best-kept Secrets of Total Success
Seeds of Greatness by Denis Waitley
