She finished her midwifery training in her fifties (!), was the only grandmother in her class, and had become the owner of a successful birthing center for 10 years, the largest in the state of Texas. At the age others are preparing for retirement, she was on the call 24/7, fulfilling a dream she never thought possible.
But things changed drastically when she was informed about diagnoses nobody ever wanted to hear. When it came around for the 2nd time, she was given 8-13 months to live...
