We all know the adage: Forgive and forget. So the question is, have you truly forgiven if you don’t forget? And furthermore, is this what the Bible tells us to do? (Hint: it isn't!)

In this week’s (long!) podcast episode, we first listen to Nick Pollard (@thepeopledispleaser) as he shares that “Forgiveness is one of the most misused words in the English language.”  Then we unpack his concepts and talk about: 

• The importance of understanding why you are confessing
• Inviting Jesus into the wounded places through confession
• The idea that sometimes the most loving thing to do is to confront sin in someone else
• Paying attention to emotions without allowing them to dictate our actions
• Confession and forgiveness being a process that you must do in relationship if you want to maintain the relationship
