This week's episode features Belgium based painter Anastasia Trusova. My artist friend Shannon Joy referred Anastasia to me, who prefaced her introduction as "This is the artist I most admire. Her style, way of life, everything. This is what I want to accomplish too".
When I reached out, I had no clue that Anastasia couldn't speak English, which made this interview very interesting. She volunteered her gracious husband to translate, and we gave it a shot. This gives you a look at what artists from across the world are doing to make money as a creative.
It's funny because the tactics are very similar, specifically, the strategy to donate a painting to meet future collectors, much like I suggest doing with live painting at charity banquets. Do whatever you can to get in the room and be seen by people who could be turned into a customer.
