📜✨ NEW SONG: “#AshTag” — Ash Wednesday isn’t a “holy day of obligation”… but Sunday is.

Yep. That’s the joke.
(And also… kind of the point.)

Ash Wednesday is the day the Church puts a sign on our forehead that basically says:
“I’m not God. I’m dust. I need mercy.”

And every year someone objects:
“Didn’t Jesus say not to fast ‘to be seen’?”

Yes. He did.
And He also said: if you do it for attention, congrats—you got your attention. Reward received. Receipt printed.

But ashes aren’t a flex.
They’re not “look how holy I am.”
They’re “remember you will die… so repent and believe.”

It’s communal. It’s public witness. It’s the family admitting the same thing together:
we’re needy, we’re mortal, and we’re coming home.

So here’s your friendly reminder:
If you showed up for the ashes—awesome.
Now show up for the Resurrection.
Because Sundays aren’t “optional side quests.”
They’re the main event.

🎶 “#AshTag” — a snarky-but-reverent Lent kickoff for converts, cradle Catholics, and anyone who’s ever treated Sunday like “maybe.”

Just a reminder: I’m not a musician—I’m a catechist trying my best to teach the faith with the tools at my disposal. I’ve been teaching the faith and apologetics and OCIA/RCIA for 20+ years, so the words and heart/soul are mine, but I do create the music digitally, and the art is AI generated.
