I discovered WordPress for the first time back around 2005. By 2008 I’d gone all-in with it as my content management system of choice. It was and still is, in my opinion, the best tool out there for the average entrepreneur looking to start, build, and grow their online brand.
Things have changed quite a bit since then. The rise of social media caused a lot of businesses to change their approach to online marketing completely – which brings us to today.
More than just a few marketers have recognized how difficult it is to consistently reach your audience or market without investing in paid advertising. This brings us back to the topic of today’s episode. Why not invest your time, energy, and focus on building a platform that you both own and control? I’m talking about your domain, your website, and your platform.
Not someone else’s.
I’m talking about your site, your traffic, your products, and your services. Simply put – why build someone else’s platform at the expense of your own? That and more in today’s episode.
