Mikel Hooks is a writer, actor, producer, record company and a Screen Actors Guild member, who was born in New York City, along with his parents, Jerry and Mildred Hooks and his brother Jerry Hooks Jr have thirty-five years of experience in the music industry. Mikel was co-producer on the song â??The West Coast Poplockâ?? with Ronnie Hudson. He and Ronnie co-wrote the song, â??California Loveâ?? which sold 2 million copies as well as the album â??All Eyes On Meâ?? by the late 2PAC, which sold 11 million copies. The West Coast Poplock was a big record on the west coast and around the world. Mikel managed the Ghetto Dancer that appeared on the Tonight Show hosted by Steve Allen and on Dick Clarkâ??s American Bandstand.
