Last week Singapore's Temasek, PWC, Rabobank and Terrascope unveiled the Asia Food Challenge report themed Decarbonizing the Agrifood Value Chain in Asia. This area has been in focus for the animal protein industry in Asia as we modernize and grow. The report states that Asia accounts for 42% of all agrifood emissions globally, with Southeast and South Asia registering 50% and 45% respectively. There are technologies available across the value chain that boost efficiency and productivity. Adoption could contribute to a 12% reduction in GHG emissions in Asia's agrifood sector by 2030. Are we up for the challenge?
