Hyderabad in India was abuzz with activity and discussions on the future and potential of livestock agriculture in the country at Poultry India 2023 which closed on November 24, with a strong degree of optimism. India is one of the world's largest and most diversified food producers, and agriculture contributes more than 20% of the country's income. By 2030, agriculture could contribute around USD 600 billion to India's GDP, an increase of 50% over 2020, but it needs to modernize and lift productivity and efficiency. It was heartening to see a slew of solutions centered on feed, farm, and processing.
