Live pig price in Thailand is up but producers are competing in a tougher environment, where new cutting plants and slaughterhouses are rising alongside expanding retail chains. In Vietnam, pork production for 2024 is expected to rise by 5% to 3.7mt, thanks to recovering domestic demand, and increased efficiency, while the Philippines has also seen a rise in inventory.
