A commissioner in the South Sudan Human Rights Commission says the commission’s lack of prosecuting powers is hindering it from effectively discharging of its duties.  Beny Gideon Mabor says the commission’s mandate is limited to monitoring and reporting, making it difficult for the swift prosecution of human rights violations. He said this on the Miraya breakfast this morning.
