In the runup to the International Day of the Youth, on August 12th, the South Sudan Youth Union has dedicated the remaining days of August to focus on Youth Activities to highlight Youth contributions in different fields.

 

International Youth Day is celebrated annually on August 12th. The theme for this year is “Youth Engagement for Global Action”. The aim of IYD 2020 is to shed light on the need to enable the engagement of youth by making local, national and global institutions more inclusive for the purpose of strengthening their capacity (and relevance) to achieve global action.

 

President of the South Sudan Youth Union, Gola Boyoi Gola says during the month, young people in South Sudan will engage in a range of activities including, COVID-19 awareness, a peacebuilding campaign and environmental protection activities throughout the country.
