The army is assuring border communities in Eastern Equatoria that it has the capacity to protect the integrity of the country’s borders. 

The spokesperson of the SSPDF, Maj. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang, says a confrontation between the South Sudan army and Ugandan forces in Magwi county that led to the death of two SSPDF servicemen on Tuesday this week, was an isolated incident. 

Maj Gen Lul urged Uganda to honor the cordial relations enjoyed by the two countries.
