Description

UN AIDS says South Sudan is lagging in the fight against HIV and AIDS.  Speaking in an exclusive interview to commemorate World AIUDS Day today, the UN body says gender-based violence and now the new threat of the coronavirus have affected the response and are making access to treatments difficult.  

Country Director of UN AIDS, Lord Dartey says people should be put at the center in a fight against HIV/AIDS to achieve zero HIV/AIDs infection by 2030.
