Continued presence of cattle herders in Lainya county, Central Equatoria state is reportedly worsening living conditions of displaced families in the area. 

Police commissioner in Yei, Maj Gen Lujang Kamba, says three IDPs narrowly survived attacks from the cattle herders when they went to collect food from their gardens over the weekend.   

Gen Lujang called for urgent intervention to restore stability in the area.     

Maj Gen Lujang is calling on state authorities to execute the outcomes of the recently concluded peace dialogue in Terekeka.
