Description

A government representative in the ceasefire monitoring body-CTSAMVM says defections from one party to the other is the major cause of confrontations among parties to the Revitalized peace agreement. 

Maj Gen Garkuoth Duop Kuich says the tendency of soldiers and politicians crossing from one bloc to the other should be discouraged to enable smooth peace implementation process. 

Maj General Duop spoke at the plenary meeting of the ceasefire monitoring body on Thursday. 

Speaking at the same meeting, a representative of South Sudan Opposition Movement Alliance – SSOA, Maj Gen David Nyang, lamented pockets of insecurity in parts of the country and called for speedy investigation into recent armed attack in Paloch area of -Upper Nile state that claimed seven  lives and  wounded others .
