The South Sudan Council of Churches has stepped up the anti- Gender Based Violence campaign through what is known as “Thursday in Black”. This is a campaign in which advocates wear black as a sign of support to the victims of GBV. This is part of the initiative launched by the World Council of Churches.
Advocacy coordinator of the Council of Churches, Juan Racheal says GBV is a big menace in the country and called on the government to take stringent action against perpetrators.
