The National Bureau of Statistics recently released a new South Sudan Population Estimation Survey (PES) which estimated the country’s population at 12,444,018 million. The survey was met with mixed reactions with some questioning its accuracy saying it is meant for political machinations, while others have received it as a good starting point.
