Up to two thousand people have been displaced after days of fighting between armed youth from cattle camps in Twic and Northern Liech states.
Entire villages in Turalei county were burnt down and the displaced are now camping under trees in Pandit Amuol, with no access to medicine or shelter.
Most of the affected are women, children and the elderly. At least 22 people were killed and 16 wounded in the fighting.
Mother Theresa Hospital, the main Hospital in Twic state is struggling to treat the victims in Turalei county.
The hospital has admitted 16 patients presenting gunshot wounds, compound fractures, effects of smoke inhalation and other complications.
Leftere George Vasili, a general surgeon at the hospital, says some of the patients need specialized treatment which is not available at the hospital.
Dr. Vasili spoke to Manyang Mayom in this interview.
