Description

Citizens and the army in Western Equatoria have signed an agreement pledging to end the cycle of violence in the state.

The agreement was signed during a church service in Mundri West County on Sunday.

An environment of mistrust between the communities and the SPLA has over the past weeks led to clashes in Greater Mundri, forcing thousands to flee to the bushes.

Deputy Governor Bullen Abiatara says communities affected will be compensated for their property lost.
