The recently reappointed SPLM party Secretary General, Pagan Amum says the party is ready to make sacrifices to compensate for the suffering of the people.
While addressing journalists in Juba on Tuesday, Pagan Amum said the party will work hard to bring sustainable peace and end the suffering.
"When the SPLM unite, they achieve great victories, they deliver better," he says.
"The SPLM members when they repent from the mistakes we have committed... and they start to say collectively, 'we are wrong', we are going to be great servants of the people."
He says a delegation from the SPLM is currently in talks with members of the SPLM-IO in order to bring an end to the "senseless war" as soon as possible.
