The UN Mission in South Sudan - UNMISS is reiterating its call for free and unrestricted access for its patrols to be able to carry out its protection of civilians mandate.
The UNMISS Principal Public Information Officer; Yasmina Bouziane, said on Friday that the mission continues to face restrictions in some parts of the country.
Yasmina said that the Mission remains deeply concerned that outbreaks of violence, "makes it difficult, almost impossible for humanitarian partners to carry out their life saving work.”
In this interview with David Lukan, Yasmina explains the security situation, the response to civilian protection and provides a brief insight into the security council meeting which will discuss the mandate of the UN Mission in South Sudan.
