Football's world governing body has started disciplinary proceedings against the IFA over acts of remembrance at the recent Northern Ireland match on Armistice Day. FIFA is looking in to several incidents "of the display of poppy symbols" before the 4-0 victory over Azerbaijan on 11th November. They are also investigating the Football Association of Wales who have said their case includes "fans wearing poppies" during their match on the same day. The Nolan Show understands that this move from FIFA relates to acts of remembrance - a minute's silence, a fans display of a giant poppy on cards, the Royal British Legion laying a wreath, fans holding banners in the crowd and a Roll of Honour of names of players connected with the association who died during First World War shown on the big screen which had a poppy image alongside it. The Nolan Show also understands that before the game on Armistice Day - November 11th - they sought guidance from FIFA over the wearing of black armbands and also sought guidance beyond that about those remembrance acts that they did do around the game. Yet despite that FIFA have opened disciplinary proceedings. Stephen talks to DUP MP Gregory Campbell and the commentator Malachi O'Doherty.
