A new bakery is being established in Mount Compass, after the town’s go-to shop burnt down.



Country Picnic Bakery was one of three stores to be destroyed by a fire in the early hours of Saturday June 18.



Two former workers, Kris Osmand and Julie Davis, have picked up the mantle and are establishing a new venture called Platypie Community Bakery, which will soon be located at the old book exchange space.
