A man wishes for a Calf and is given a child. Instead of joy, he’s struck with the burden of looking after another life, in which he can barely look after his own. He denies the young boy, a gift from the gods so it seems, turned away...but the boy’s love for the man is strong, strong enough to put him on a quest, to be accepted. In being turned away, the boy becomes something…bigger, and better.
