Description

While the whole world does not speak English, it’s nevertheless a ubiquitous language worldwide.

Is that a good thing or bad? Or is it, perhaps, more complicated than that?

Professor Rosemary Salomone, both linguist and lawyer, knows how to answer this question perhaps better than anyone. In this episode, she and Steve discuss her newest book, The Rise of English: Global Politics and the Power of Language, where she takes readers around the world to see just what kind of a global player English really is.
