Description

Finding fossils frequently for financial funding was Mary Anning’s sole source of income for most of her life, but she didn’t just find and sell fossils - she was one of the most accomplished palaeontologists of her time. Unfortunately she was also a woman, more specifically a woman from a lower class background, which meant that she did not receive the formal recognition she deserved in her lifetime.
