Do you always want to be on top of trends?
The first thing you need to understand about trends is that you are likely doing one of three things with them…
Following them. Creating them. Or recognising the counter trend.
The answer to which one you should be doing is dependent upon YOUR business and how well you understand it. Because it is TOUGH to be the first person forging the way, and just as tough to be the last person who wasted time playing it safe.
Just remember - the only thing worse than failing at a trend, is to stay stagnant. Because when it comes to business, comfort = death.
- Recognise trends early
- See what other people in your industry are moving towards
- Look for opportunities in relation to your skillset
- Don’t be afraid to take calculated risks
