One of our very favorite friends, Travis Cottrell, joins us on this week's episode (ALERT ALERT HE HAS A NEW ALBUM COMING OUT ON FRIDAY 7/21), and Melanie and I had the best time catching up with him. Travis tells us about what it's like to sing background vocals on the Grand Ole Opry (AS YOU DO), and he and Mel have a big discussion about some newer country artists they love to listen to.
Also, I feel like I need to confess that I spent the last 30-ish minutes of this episode with my head on my desk because I was on the front end of a stomach virus and didn't know it at the time. Plus the site we use to record kept kicking me out of the recording and the last time I rejoined my microphone wasn't connected but who even cares because I was about to get in the bed anyway. NONETHELESS, we made it through - and it's Melanie's turn for Five Favorites - along with some favorites from Travis.
