THE CHAINSAW KILLER sees airline pilot Richard Crafts not only kill his wife Helle, but also chop her up with a chainsaw, then grind her up using a wood chipper. The cold-blooded murder and dismemberment takes place during a massive snowstorm, as Crafts places the woodchipper over the Husatonic River and grinds Helle to bits.  If not for a snow plow driver seeing Crafts on that bridge that night and the brilliant forensic work of pathologists piecing enough shredded bits of corpse to constitute a body, Crafts would have gotten away with this incredibly barbarous act.
