See the great Al Jazeera piece on 11-2 that explains the history of the slogan. The controversy has been fabricated to prevent solidarity in the west with the Palestinians.

Ignorance is strength" ... there is a serious problem with flattening all criticism of Israel to antisemitism, completely ignoring generations of solidarity and activism from Jewish people who know that Palestinian and Jewish liberation are intertwined.
